MOTHERFUCKING SUPERNATURAL. Every time I look up ANYthing, I get Supernatural. When I look up Abaddon, I either want the demon of legend or the motherfucking Despoiler, not a weird ladyvesion with funky eyes.
Granted, I STILL think Supernatural is cool, but it gets REAL old trying to look up historical and biblical shit, and only getting results from like… two fandoms.
Hail Chaos, motherfuckers!
The Stormsword was originally a field workshop conversion of the Shadowsword. When a Shadowsword or Stormblade is knocked out, the salvaged chassis is rebuilt and new weapons are added to create the Stormsword.
The Stormsword is built specifically for sieges and street fighting. The main armament’s restricted range leaves it dangerously exposed in open terrain and most commanders will only commit them to battle in the environment they were built for, the heart of a city fight where the fighting is most intense.
Each massive siege cannon shell holds enough explosive to flatten a building with a single shot. Gunners are taught to aim at the ground floor of the building, with the intention of causing the entire building to collapse. The siege gun barrel has a restricted elevation, which reduces the weapons maximum range. This is compensated for by the shells integral rocket propulsion system.
The siege gun fires huge rocket propelled shells, each weighing over 180 kgs. The size of the shells limits the vehicle’s ammunition racks to just 20 rounds. Due to the weight of each shell the vehicle’s loader is aided by an automated loading tray which is hand cranked to move a shell into the barrel. This is a lengthy process and the Stormsword cannot maintain a high rate of fire.
In addition to it’s main gun the Stormsword is also equipped with turret mounted heavy flamers used to clear buildings and rubble of hidden enemies, driving them into the open to be targets for it’s heavy bolters or supporting infantry.
Not gold, but it’ll do.
